Terms of Service

1. Who runs this site

heicjpg.online is run by BDK Media Daniel Bihun, a business based in Poland (in these Terms: "we" or "us"). You can reach us through our contact page or at contact@heicjpg.online.

These Terms apply whenever you open the site or convert a file. Together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy they are the whole agreement between you and us. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. What the service does

You choose HEIC, HEIF or HIF photos, our server converts them, and you download the result as JPG, or as PNG or PDF on the dedicated tool pages. There is no account, no fee and no watermark. You can convert up to 60 photos in one batch.

The tool will keep evolving. Limits such as batch size, file size or a daily cap may change, features may come and go, and the service may be paused or closed, sometimes without warning. We try to announce bigger changes on the homepage, but we can't promise that we always will.

3. A converter, not cloud storage

Converted files are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest. We may delete them sooner when there is a technical, legal or security reason. Treat every download as a copy you need to save yourself, and keep your original photos on your own device or in your own backup. We have no way to restore a file once it is deleted.

4. Age and use for work

You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law in your country sets a higher age for online services. If you use the site for an employer or a client, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms on their behalf.

5. Your photos stay yours

• We claim no ownership of anything you upload. Copyright and every other right stay with you or with whoever holds them.
• To convert a file we have to receive it, process it, keep it for a limited time and send it back to you. You allow us to do exactly that and nothing more. This permission is free of charge, worldwide and nonexclusive, and it ends when the file is deleted.
• You confirm that you own the photos you upload or have permission to convert them, and that doing so breaks no law and no one else's rights.
• Every download link contains a long random code. Anyone who has the link can open the file, so share it only with people you trust.

6. What you must not do

Converting your everyday photos is exactly what the site is for. The following is not allowed:

• uploading anything illegal. Material showing the sexual abuse or exploitation of children is always reported to the authorities;
• uploading photos that infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other people's rights, for example private pictures of someone shared without their consent;
• uploading files that contain malware or are built to attack the converter;
• scanning, overloading or otherwise attacking the site, or trying to get into parts of it that are not public;
• getting around the limits, or sending files in bulk through bots or scripts instead of the normal page;
• selling access to the tool, building it into your own product or presenting it as your own service.

If we have good reason to believe someone is breaking these rules, we may delete the files involved, slow down their access or block it, for example by IP address. We don't have to warn anyone first.

7. Ads and links to other sites

heicjpg.online is free to use, and to keep it that way we may show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Before any advertising cookies are used, the consent banner asks for your choice, and you can change it at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. The details are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Ads and any other links that lead away from this site belong to their own operators. We don't check or endorse them, and whatever you buy or agree to there is between you and that company.

8. Our content and code

The design, texts, illustrations, logo and code of heicjpg.online belong to us or to people who licensed them to us. You may use the site in the normal way, and linking to any of our pages is always welcome. Copying larger parts of the site, its articles or its code, or building something on top of them, requires our written permission.

9. No guarantees

We work hard to keep the converter reliable, but we give it to you free, "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be online, that every file will convert, that the result will look exactly the way you expect, or that a download link will still work tomorrow. We give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. If the service doesn't work for you, your remedy is to stop using it.

10. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, business or data, even if we knew such losses were possible;
• we are not liable if a file is deleted, not stored, damaged or not converted, or if someone opens your file because you shared its link;
• our total liability for all claims connected with the site is limited to EUR 50.

None of this limits liability that the law does not let us limit, such as for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and none of it takes away your mandatory rights as a consumer.

11. Claims caused by your uploads

If someone brings a claim against us because of a file you uploaded, the way you used the site or a breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the resulting damage, costs and reasonable legal fees, as far as the law permits.

12. Reporting a file

If you come across a file on heicjpg.online that infringes your rights or breaks these Terms, write to contact@heicjpg.online. Include the full download link and a short explanation. We read every report and remove the file quickly when the complaint is justified.

13. Changes to these Terms

We update these Terms when the service or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If a change is important, we will also mention it on the homepage. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, the new version applies to you.

14. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. If there is a problem, please write to us first, because most things can be sorted out by email. If that doesn't work, the competent courts will decide. For business users, the courts that have jurisdiction over our seat in Poland are exclusively competent.

15. Other provisions

If a court finds one part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a rule straight away, that doesn't mean we have given it up. We may transfer these Terms to a new owner if the site is sold or handed over. The Terms are available in several languages, and if the versions differ, the English one prevails.
